SANY America is seeking an engineer to design, develop, and validate mining loader systems at our Peachtree City, GA site. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable equipment for demanding off-highway applications.

Qualified candidates will have a mechanical/structural engineering background, 4+ years in steel-frame design, and hands-on experience with 3D CAD, FEA, weldments, and durability testing. Occasional travel is possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE

SANY America is seeking an engineer to design, develop and validate mining loader systems for demanding off-highway applications. The position collaborates with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and field teams to deliver reliable and competitive equipment.

With current revenues over $500 million, SANY America continues to make strong progress and significant investments in the Americas market; the organization is now pursuing an aggressive growth strategy and is looking to move quickly beyond this initial platform and increase its market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and optimize high-load loader frames, including multi-system packaging and interfaces.
• Use CAE and testing to improve fatigue life, manufacturability and durability.
• Develop welding/machining requirements and support FMEA, prototype evaluations and competitive benchmarking.

Quality, Safety & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues and support product launch and continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear engineering documentation and follow applicable product safety, quality, and company standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or structural engineering.
• 4+ years designing steel structures or frames for off-highway equipment.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD, finite element analysis, weldments, FMEA, dimensional interfaces and durability tests.
• Ability to manage priorities, communicate technical findings, and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with off-highway construction or mining equipment, hybrid/electric platforms, and international engineering or supplier teams.
• Experience with FMEA, prototype validation, root-cause analysis, and structured design reviews.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

OFFICE-BASED (ENGINEERING + TEST / PROTOTYPE VISITS)

This role is primarily office-based, involving computer-aided design, analysis, engineering reviews, and minimal physical exertion. Occasional work in prototype, test, manufacturing, or equipment environments may require standing, walking, PPE, and exposure to noise, moving equipment, or varying temperatures.

Occasional (up to 25%)
