Key duties include delivering reliable, constructible, affordable, and timely RCAT solutions; preparing calculations and minor designs; developing project plans with supervision; contributing to design efforts; attending design and site meetings; and pursuing professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering with structural emphasis is required.
• Complete and pass Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
• 2–4 years of related experience as a student intern or Engineer-in-Training is highly preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use structural analysis software (Risa 3D, RAM, Tedds) in concert with hand-written calculations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to maintain accurate project records.

Responsibilities

• Adopt RCAT mindset to provide reliable, constructible, affordable, and timely solutions.
• Perform routine or entry-level engineering tasks neatly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Prepare engineering calculations and minor designs while developing licensure progress.
• Contribute to development of engineering plans and designs under supervision.
• Work on multiple projects for various project managers and branches.
• Document project experience for licensure records and future growth.
• Attend design meetings, construction meetings, and site visits with experienced engineers.
