Job summary

Fluor Constructors in the United States is seeking a design engineer-in-training to apply foundational engineering principles on assigned projects. You will support Area Lead on tasks, review vendor documentation, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

The role requires an accredited four-year engineering degree and at least one year of related experience; strong communication, detail orientation, and computer skills are essential. Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering and 1 year of work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge to complete the assignment.
• Ability to learn and apply local, state/province, and federal guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work approach.
• Engineer-in-Training achievement status is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform and check routine calculations, specify simple equipment, and solve problems of simple engineering complexity.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor material estimates and participate in procurement activities.
• Adhere to industry codes and standards and department practices.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations for solutions with varying complexity.
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
