Qualifications

• Four-year accredited degree in engineering and at least six years of work-related experience.
• Professional registration or PE credential preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including management, coworkers, clients, and vendors.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state/provincial, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and time-conscious work habits.
• Professional registration and membership in technical society preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes, standards, and cost/material availability.
• Practical field engineering experience and proficiency with standard software tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply cost-competitive execution techniques to develop cost-effective project solutions.
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
• Participate in equipment/material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
• Assign work to teams, monitor and manage the work.
• Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve engineering problems.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations for problems with varying complexity.
