Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

Shift: 4:00 PM to 01:00 AM IST

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Design Engineer based in India to support our commercial projects designed per U.S. building codes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design structural systems for commercial buildings by U.S. codes, particularly ASCE 7-16.
  • Utilize at least one FEM software such as STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, SAP2000, Bentley RAM SS, or equivalent for analysis and design.
  • Collaborate with our U.S.-based team and Indian drafting staff to develop complete construction drawings.
  • Review and adapt existing design templates and layouts as per project requirements.
  • Communicate proactively with team members to clarify design issues and ensure high standards of structural integrity.
  • Stay updated on relevant codes and practices, particularly ASCE standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent certification in Structural Engineering from a recognized Indian institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in structural design, with a strong focus on commercial projects using U.S. building codes.
  • Proficiency with at least one structural design software listed above.
  • Working knowledge of ASCE 7-16 and its proper application.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create structural drawings; drafting skills or access to in-house drafting support in India.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to seeking guidance when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with residential design.
  • Knowledge of concrete tilt-up construction.
  • Experience in bridge design.
