Novax Recruitment Ltd in Statesville, NC is seeking a licensed Structural Connection Design Engineer (PE) to join a long-established family-owned steel business. You will provide in-house engineering support on major projects, designing connections for beams, columns, braces, and trusses.

You will produce and review connection calculations, review drawings, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with AISC and AWS standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Structural/Design Engineer required.
• Structural steel and connection design experience required.
• Tekla Structures experience essential.
• Knowledge of AISC/AWS standards required.

Job Title: Structural Connection Design Engineer (PE)

Location: Statesville, NC 28677 - On-site

Salary: $35P/H - $45P/H + benefits, bonuses & relocation support

The Role

A long-established, family-owned structural steel business is looking for a Licensed Structural Connection Design Engineer to join its growing team.

You'll provide in-house engineering support across major steel projects, including data centres, distribution centres, industrial and commercial buildings.

Day To Day

• Design steel connections for beams, columns, braces, trusses and miscellaneous framing.
• Produce and review connection calculations.
• Work closely with detailers, project managers, engineers and fabrication teams.
• Review drawings, resolve technical issues and prepare RFIs.
• Ensure designs meet AISC, AWS and applicable building code requirements.
• Support fabrication and erection teams with practical engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Licensed Structural/Design Engineer.
• Structural steel and connection design experience.
• Tekla Structures experience essential.
• Knowledge of AISC/AWS standards.
• Self-sufficient, practical and collaborative approach.
• Must be willing to work on-site in Statesville, NC.
• Licensure in NY, NJ, PA or the Carolinas is highly desirable.
