We’re looking for a Structural Concrete Superintendent to manage large-scale or complex construction projects from groundbreaking to close-out. As the senior field authority, you’ll ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met while fostering a collaborative work environment. You’ll provide strategic direction to field teams, resolve high-level issues, and ensure project delivery aligns with company standards and client expectations.

What You’ll Do
  • Supervise daily structural concrete field operations and manage crews, foremen, and subcontractors.
  • Plan and coordinate large concrete pours, including manpower, equipment, concrete deliveries, and pumps.
  • Oversee installation of formwork, shoring, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, and cast-in-place components.
  • Manage construction of footings, foundations, grade beams, columns, shear walls, beams, elevated slabs, and structural decks.
  • Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, elevations, and construction details.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and other trades.
  • Develop short-term work plans and maintain production schedules to meet project milestones.
  • Monitor labor productivity, material usage, equipment needs, and field progress.
  • Conduct pre-pour inspections and verify work meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, jobsite safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain daily reports, manpower records, pour logs, inspection records, and other field documentation.
  • Identify field conflicts and resolve construction issues before they cause delays or rework.
  • Lead daily meetings, communicate expectations, and hold crews accountable for performance.
  • May provide leadership, guidance, or oversight to field foremen.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field AND 10+ years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Progressive construction experience in a leadership capacity on large or complex projects.
  • OSHA-30 certification required.
  • Proven ability to lead field teams and manage multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Strong commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Expertise in developing and maintaining construction schedules and managing critical path milestones.
  • Skill in leading project-wide quality control processes across trades and phases.
  • Ability to adapt verbal and written communication to different audiences, facilitating alignment between field teams, office staff, and clients.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, plans/specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to anticipate emotional dynamics in teams and adapt communication style to maintain collaboration and trust.
  • Ability to model emotionally intelligent behavior and mentor others in managing interpersonal challenges and team morale.
  • Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record under the company’s insurance carrier requirements to operate or rent vehicles for business purposes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs.
  • Exposure to all outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, precipitation, and wind.
  • Use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Exposure to confined spaces as part of job site conditions.
  • Exposure to high noise levels typical of job sites.
Travel
  • Travel to and work from job sites required on a full-time basis.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
