Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Structural CAD Technician II for our Austin, TX office to prepare structural drawings under supervision, using AutoCAD and related tools. This role supports engineering projects and contributes to drafting techniques and standards.

The position will draft foundation plans, support structures, and detailed drawings, coordinating with engineers and project teams. A 1-year drafting background and an Associate's degree in CAD or Design are expected; Revit or Tekla experience is

Qualifications

Associate's degree in CAD Technology, Drafting & Design or comparable field is required.
Minimum 1 year of drafting experience in a structural engineering or industrial environment is required.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit or Tekla Structures experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare structural drawings including foundation plans and details, and structural details.
Draft steel, concrete, and miscellaneous structural details from sketches and direction.
Develop plan views, sections, and elevations of structural components and assemblies.
Produce equipment support structure drawings and standard structural detail sheets.
Draft structural notes, general notes, schedules, and drawing lists.
