Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a Structural Buildings Engineer for our Metro DC operation, with offices in Olney, Rockville and Springfield.

You will assist on structural analysis and design projects using steel, concrete, masonry and wood, conduct site investigations, develop drawings and models, and serve as a project manager on smaller projects, including construction phase tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural design experience for buildings
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and wood structures
• Ability to read, write and understand plans in English

Responsibilities

• Assist on a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design projects involving steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
• Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions, and plan projects accordingly
• Develop drawings and perform structural modeling tasks
• Serve as a project manager on smaller projects
• Perform Construction Phase tasks including shop drawing review, answering contractor questions, and site visits
