Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen Inc (GPI) is seeking a Bridge Project Engineer to join our Maryland or Delaware offices. The role focuses on structural analysis, design options, and coordination across disciplines for transportation projects serving federal, state, local and private clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• B.S. in Structural Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
• PE licensure preferred; MD/DE/VA project experience valued.
• Experience with MDOT-SHA, MDOT-MDTA, DelDOT and/or VDOT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analyses, evaluations and designs.
• Develop design options with supporting calculations.
• Review structural documents for cross-discipline conflicts.
• Develop and coordinate plans, specs and estimates for bridges.
• Perform quality control reviews of junior engineers' work.
• Assist planning and management of bridge inspections and rehabilitation projects.
• Lead routine bridge inspections for state and local agencies.
• Review load rating computations for structures.
• Coordinate design recommendation reports.
• Oversee and review bridge hydrology and hydraulics analyses.
