Job description

We are a Boston-based civil and transportation engineering firm specializing in bridge and roadway infrastructure for public-sector clients such as MassDOT, MBTA, and DCR. We are seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer with hands-on experience in bridge design and load rating to join our collaborative team.

Structural Engineer Responsibilities

1. Perform load ratings and structural evaluations for railroad and roadway bridges
2. Develop bridge design plans, calculations, and construction documents
3. Use software such as AASHTOWare, STAAD Pro, and MERLIN-DASH
4. Ensure compliance with AASHTO and AREMA codes and client-specific standards
5. Coordinate with internal teams and public agencies throughout project lifecycle

Structural Engineer Qualifications

1. Minimum 4-5 years of structural bridge engineering experience
2. Proficient with AASHTOWare, STAAD Pro, and MERLIN-DASH
3. Familiar with MassDOT Bridge Manual and MBTA Design Guidelines
4. Experience with railroad and highway bridge projects
5. EIT or PE license is a plus, but not required
