Job Description

The Structural Bridge Engineer will be entrusted with the following critical responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a technical authority, providing expert guidance to the team in matters of structural bridge engineering.
  2. Contribute specialized technical expertise to studies and designs within the engineer's area of proficiency.
  3. Formulate and implement rigorous study and design procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work across the team.
  4. Conduct thorough interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to maintain the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  5. Develop precise construction cost estimates and technical effort projections for projects of varying scales and complexities.
  6. Apply comprehensive expertise throughout all phases of completing discipline-specific components of PS&E packages.
  7. Execute meticulous quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
  8. Compose technical specification sections with utmost attention to detail and clarity.
  9. Provide critical input for the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet stringent project requirements.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus four years of relevant experience in transportation structures or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to hold a PE license in both NY and NJ within 12 months of hire.
  2. Experience working with bridges - rail and highway bridge projects.
  3. Experience working in NY Metro agencies.
  4. Proficiency with CAD and similar computer software.

Additional Information

  1. Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  2. Relocation Assistance is not available for this role.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $115,000.00 - $120,000.00.
