Job summary

Salas O’Brien in the United States is seeking a Structural Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician for full-time employment. You will execute structural modeling tasks in Revit, develop sheet views, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The role requires 5+ years of Revit experience and exposure to concrete, wood, steel, and light gauge structures. A remote USA work arrangement is supported with competitive benefits and a performance-based bonus

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience with Revit.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with concrete, wood, steel and light gauge building structures.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to problem-solve and collaborate on innovative solutions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Executes the assigned structural modeling tasks
• Develops sheet views of plans, details and notes from the Revit model
• Maintains awareness of the production schedule for responsible task(s)
• Reviews completed tasks at key intervals for accuracy and completeness
• Assists with the development of internal drafting standards, including Revit families
• Assists in communicating with other disciplines and project team members to ensure overall project coordination
• Participates in team and company-wide meetings to discuss project issues, coordination with other disciplines and technical issues
• Performs work in a manner that demonstrates a commitment to quality and collaboration
• Becomes skilled in fostering and maintaining a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team
• Fosters awareness of the firm’s principles of providing outstanding professional service to our clients.

The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
