Qualifications

• A year as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in industrial structural design and engineering, or two years of relevant structural engineering co-op/internship experience (preferred).
• Experience with 3D structure analysis software (RISA 3D, SAFE).
• Knowledge of seismic force resisting systems in high seismic design categories (preferred).
• Knowledge of gravity and lateral system strengthening for all construction materials (preferred).
• A bachelor of science in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution (required).
• A master of science in structural engineering (preferred).
• An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work on-site and remotely with teams of architects and engineers to design technical solutions.
• Assist in developing complete structural design documents under lead engineers.
• Learn to apply seismic design principles and perform gravity and lateral load path calculations.
• Assist in field condition assessments and prepare project specifications.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and analysis software to support project deliverables.
