Job summary

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking an Assembly Lead to guide production teams in executing manufacturing processes. The role focuses on timely task completion, daily task delegation, progress monitoring, and staff training.

Working with management, the Assembly Lead will help improve production efficiency. Key duties include supervising staff, planning production, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safe operations across the line.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years as a shop lead or equivalent manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read industrial drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working in a safe ISO 9001 certified environment.
  • Two or more years of experience with UL and NEC codes.
  • US work authorization without sponsorship.
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and withstand 4+ hours of standing/walking.

Job Summary:

The Assembly Lead position involves leading one or more teams in the execution of the production/manufacturing processes. The primary responsibility of the AssemblyLeadis to ensure the assigned work is completedin a timely manner; this includes assigning and explaining daily tasks to associates; monitoring work progress and compliance with policies and procedures; training andassistingassociates. The AssemblyLeadwill work withthe Managementto improve processes in the production/manufacturing areas.

Job Duties:
  • Supervises staff to produce manufactured products and organizes and monitorsworkflow.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; andinitiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruits, selects, onboards, trains, and mentors’ employees.
  • Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting processing variables,observingcontrol points and equipment, monitoringpersonneland resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, developing reporting procedures and systems,facilitatingcorrections to malfunctions within process control points, andinitiatingand fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel,accomplishingwork results,establishingpriorities,monitoringprogress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Maintains quality service byestablishingand enforcing production standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Provides manufacturing information by compiling,initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records anddata, andanswering questions and responding to requests.
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, and implementing change.
  • Research new processes and efficiencies to reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Maintains asafe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, andmaintainingcompliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintains workingrelationshipswith union members and representatives by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues,identifyingsolutions, and recommending action.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and content, benchmarkingstate-of-the‑artpractices, andparticipatingin professional societies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Twoor more years of experience as a shopLeador equivalent manufacturing experiencerequired
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in Englishrequired
  • Ability to read industrial specific drawings and specificationsrequired
  • Experience working in a safe ISO 9001 certified environmentrequired
  • Two or more years of experience in UL and NEC codesrequired
  • US work authorization without sponsorshiprequired
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checkrequired
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a timerequired
  • Alignment with company core valuesrequired
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two plus years of experience in the electrical industry preferred
  • Threeor more years of experience in UL and NEC codespreferred
  • Experience working in ISO 9001 certified environment preferer
