The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Structural & MEP Engineer to lead engineering design, coordination, and execution for our high-end residential developments. This role is ideal for a professional who combines technical mastery with collaborative problem-solving, ensuring structural integrity and optimal building performance from concept through construction.

You’ll work closely with our architects, designers, and construction teams, ensuring that engineering solutions integrate seamlessly with architectural vision while meeting budgets, codes, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural and MEP design for luxury residential projects from feasibility to completion.
  • Develop detailed engineering drawings and calculations in compliance with all codes and regulations.
  • Coordinate closely with architectural, construction, and interior design teams to ensure buildability and integration.
  • Perform load calculations, system sizing, and performance modeling to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Manage consultants and subcontractors, ensuring deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify installation quality, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Prepare and review permit documents for code compliance and facilitate approval processes.
  • Recommend value engineering solutions to improve performance and control costs.
  • Contribute to the firm’s technical standards, best practices, and quality control processes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of structural and/or MEP engineering experience, ideally in high-end residential.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida preferred but not required– candidates may or may not hold active licensure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, HAP, Trace).
  • In-depth knowledge of Florida Building Code, zoning regulations, and permitting.
  • Strong background in construction documentation, detailing, and building systems.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design, energy efficiency, and modern HVAC, electrical, and plumbing technologies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to travel to job sites.
