Textron Systems is seeking a Structural Analyst II/III to perform static and dynamic analyses of flight vehicles within the Strategic Missiles Business Line. You will use CAD/FEA tools and Textron software, and document results in reports and presentations.

Responsibilities include defining changes to improve designs and summarizing techniques. Up to 25% travel may be required; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2+ years' experience for Level II.
• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years' experience for Level III.
• Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of COTS structural/mechanical tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and a desire to obtain a working knowledge of Textron developed software.

• Summarize results and design application techniques during the above activities via presentations and design analysis reports.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.

About This Role

The Structural Engineering Analyst will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design of flight vehicles in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. The position requires expertise in the use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) models, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools, and other structural analysis software. The analysis techniques used, as well as the compiled results, will be summarized in presentations and detailed design analysis reports.

Serve as a structural analyst performing static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in the strategic missiles and reentry vehicle area.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 2+ years' of experience in structural analysis and design (Level II).

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years' of experience in structural analysis and design (Level III).

Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of COTS structural/mechanical tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and a desire to obtain a working knowledge of Textron developed software.

Demonstrated capability/experience in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to document structural analysis methodology and results.

Excellent communication skills are required, as the position requires the description/documentation of structural analysis techniques and results using a variety of tools (PowerPoint, Word).

Active security clearance is preferred, eligibility for clearance is required.
