Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer to perform structural and dynamic analyses of valves, tubing, mounts, COPVs, and test fixtures for the NewGlenn upper stage. The role includes technical guidance, review of supplier analyses, and status reporting within a safety‑driven, collaborative team.

A BS in engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience are required. Applicants must be proficient with ANSYS (structural/dynamic/thermal), and have working knowledge of Creo Pro/E;

Job description

This role supports the development and operations of NewGlenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human‑capable. This role supports the development and operations of NewGlenn, a single‑configuration, heavy‑lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low‑Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Specifically, this role would be supporting the development and introduction of a new upper stage for the NewGlenn vehicle. As part of a small, hardworking, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the structural analysis of the fluid systems and components for this stage. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to work collaboratively as an integral part of a world class design, development, and product launch team. Pay

Base Pay Range for: CO applicants is $90,934.00 - $127,307.25. Other site ranges may differ.

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training. Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
