Responsibilities
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics‑based analytical methods (hand calculations, in‑house tools, and 3rd‑party commercial analytical tools)
  • Acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis
  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures/mechanisms
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics‑based analytical methods (hand calculations, in‑house tools, and 3rd‑party commercial analytical tools)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Spacecraft mechanisms/systems analysis
  • Hyperworks, NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, and MATLAB proficiency
  • LS-Dyna
  • Fatigue and fracture analysis

Base Pay Range for:
CA applicants: $99,201.00 - $138,880.35
CO applicants: $90,934.00 - $127,307.25
WA applicants: $99,201.00 - $138,880.35
Other site ranges may differ.

Export Control Regulations

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or a lawful permanent resident admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or asylum seeker.

Background Check
  • Required for all positions: Blue's Standard Background Check
  • DBIDS background check if the role requires working on a military installation
  • Additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations may apply to drivers operating commercial motor vehicles with GVW or GVWR ≥ 10,001 lbs. or transporting placardable hazardous materials
  • Merchant Mariner Credential requirements for certain roles
