The Structural Analyst will perform engineering design and analysis for air handling equipment, chillers, pressure vessels, piping systems, trailers, and portable shelters. The design and analysis are primarily for structure (seismic, wind, snow, and live loads), piping system expansion/contraction, and support.

You will…

  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, technical drawings, schematics, and detailed shop drawings
  • Work with other engineers to develop system designs and support structures
  • Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) structural analysis software and hand calculations to perform structural design calculations per applicable codes and specifications
  • Use ANSYS Workbench Suite to manage data, integrate multiple analyses, and create accurate models
  • Prepare designs, calculation packages, and structural analysis reports for Professional Engineer (PE) stamping
  • Recommend design modifications to improve performance or reduce weight, and cost
  • Develop and maintain structural design standards for products

What you bring …

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5+ years’ prior experience in a seismic, stress, or structural design analyst role
  • 5+ years working experience with ANSYS Workbench and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Software
    • The ability to successfully perform Modal analysis and interpret results
  • Preferably experience in the analysis of design to ASME boiler pressure vessel codes
  • Preferably experience with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) codes
  • Preferably a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work well with a cross-functional team, vendors, subcontractors, and our customers

  • This is not a remote position. This position is located on-site at our facility in Batavia, OH.
  • There could be up to 10% domestic and/or international travel annually required.
