Qualifications

• Minimum enrollment in a BS Engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean or Marine) from ABET university.
• Applicants should be within 1 year of graduation at start of internship.
• Strong aptitude to learn seabed-to-surface engineering requirements.
• Basic knowledge of ANSYS or Abaqus.

Job description

What will you be doing?

• Create parametric 3D modeling using ANSYS workbench and perform static structural analysis by utilizing in house tools.
• Develop a working knowledge of the structural design related to subsea structures.
• Become familiar with applicable industry codes and standards.
• Coordinate with drafting staff and review drawings for compliance with the design under the supervision of senior staff.
• Work closely with other departments within the company to identify and resolve problems and suggest solutions when necessary.
• Produce reports and technical notes templates to reflect structural analysis findings.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Minimum of enrollment in a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean or Marine are preferred) from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
• Applicants should be within 1 year of graduation upon start of internship.

• Beginner level knowledge of ANSYS or Abaqus software.
• Aptitude and attitude to learn and experience seabed-to-surface engineering requirements, including installation techniques, software tools, and other technical issues.

• Ability to obtain, interpret and apply relevant information for formulating sound engineering solutions under the supervision of senior staff.

• Ability to identify and use appropriate methods, tools and best industry practices to perform engineering under supervision of senior staff.

• Ability to produce deliverables in a timely manner that are clear and accurate.

• Ability to develop working relationships through effective communication.

• Ability to apply logical analysis to break down problems and to develop solutions by creative thinking.
