Job summary

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Neurology and Stroke unit. The role is part-time (24 hours per week) with a night schedule. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessments, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based stroke care.

Licensed NY RN with BLS is required; advanced degrees preferred. RN Level will be determined at hire based on qualifications and Clinical Ladder requirements; includes

Qualifications

• AS: Nursing (Required)
• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• RN license in New York State

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient.
• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment, and services.
• Complies with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations.
• Completes at least one CRU form for Nursing Research Department (last 5 years).
• Completes 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE/CEU) per year.
• Completes mandatory in-services and health screens timely.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Education

AS: Nursing (Required)

Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
