Job summary

Catawba Valley Health seeks registered nurses to provide professional patient care in partnership with a skilled care team. The nurse will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with physicians and other clinical staff.

Ideal candidates are graduates of accredited nursing programs with current NC RN licensure or Nursing Compact State licensure and BLS certification. Some units require additional certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification; if not from AHA, AHA certification required within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care appropriate to patient age and condition using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals to meet patient needs.
• Adhere to CVMC policies, procedures, and philosophy to deliver quality patient care.
• Practice within the North Carolina Nurse Practice Act and CVMC Nursing Bylaws.
• Perform unit-specific requirements as outlined by the applicable practice area.
