Job summary

Catawba Valley Medical Center is recruiting a Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care across patient units in North Carolina. You will make patient-centered decisions using the nursing process, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

Requirements include a graduate nursing degree and current NC RN licensure (or Nursing Compact), plus BCLS. BSN or higher must be completed within five years. CCU and critical care experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed as an NC RN or a Nursing Compact State license.
• BCLS certification; if not from AHA, an AHA certification is required within three months of employment.
• BSN or higher nursing degree must be completed within five years of employment.
• One year nursing experience; CCU experience preferred and readiness for call responsibilities within three months.
• Preferred: one year in Critical Care; six months in cardiac monitoring; experience in Birthing Center or Level III Nursery.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care and makes nursing care decisions using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with other health care professionals to meet patient needs.
• Adheres to CVMC policies, procedures, and philosophy; follows NC Nurse Practice Act and CVMC Bylaws.
• Floats to assigned units and maintains competencies through annual education and certifications.

Education
