Job summary

Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Unit Secretary for the Stroke Unit. This full-time role supports nursing staff and provides basic nursing care to patients, under RN supervision.

The position includes data entry, documentation, and coordination of patient care activities on a busy 12-hour day shift. Minimum qualifications include CNA program or EMT, California CNA or EMT license, and BLS.

Qualifications

Completion of a CNA program, or completion of first semester nursing program, or EMT program.
California Nursing Assistant Certification License or California Emergency Medical Technician License on hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Experience with basic data entry.

Responsibilities

Provide basic nursing care under RN supervision.
Assist nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities.
Collect and report information to supervising RN and complete patient care documentation.
