Job summary

Kenmore Mercy Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Clinical Stroke Coordinator to lead the Acute Stroke Program across PSC sites. You will oversee stroke patient coordination, develop standards, educate staff, and collaborate with Neuroscience Service Line, Medical Director of Stroke and Nursing Administration to advance the stroke program.

Requires BSN, NY RN, NIHSS/Rankin certifications, 3+ years nursing, leadership skills; CNRN preferred; days 8am–4pm.

Qualifications

• BSN required and NY RN license.
• MS degree preferred.
• CNRN preferred.
• NIHSS certification within 90 days.
• Modified Rankin training within 90 days.
• Stroke education within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Acute Stroke Program at PSC site Kenmore Mercy Hospital and at MSM and LMH.
• Lead development of order sets, standing orders and care algorithms for stroke patients.
• Provide formal and informal education to staff and community on cerebrovascular topics.
• Collaborate with the Neuroscience Service Line, Medical Director of Stroke and Nursing Administration to advance the stroke program.
• Develop and maintain quality improvement processes for the stroke service.
