Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a dedicated RN leader to coordinate the stroke program across the continuum of care. You will drive performance improvement, serve as a clinical resource, and coordinate staff/patient education to enhance outcomes.

The role includes community liaison duties, marketing involvement for services, and advocating for patients while promoting cost-effective practice within the hospital.

Qualifications

  • ACLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
  • RN license in Texas or compact license.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • SCRN certification preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in Neurosciences or Emergency Care.

Job description

Job Summary

Coordinates the clinical management of the stroke patient population and their families across the entire continuum of care. Serves as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement initiative. Acts as a clinical resource and role model for all areas caring for stroke patients. Provides and/or coordinates educational activities for staff and patients. Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the program and hospital. Directly involved in the marketing and promotion of services provided. The role includes responsibilities as a patient advocate, change agent, leader, and cost‑effective practitioner.

Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or holding a compact license.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • SCRN Certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in Neurosciences or Emergency Care field.
