Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care on the Neurology Stroke Surgical Stepdown Unit (NSSU) during weekend PM and part-time PM shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborate with the care team, and support patients and families. Current RN license in Alabama and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
• Current RN license in Alabama or eligible to be licensed required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process to promote health and prevent illness.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to the care team to ensure timely, cost-effective patient care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes.
