Northwell Health’s Department of Neurology is seeking a full‑time Stroke Medical Director to lead a high‑acuity stroke program for our eastern regions. This physician leader will direct best practices and report to the Department Chair, guiding a multidisciplinary team across a large health system.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Neurology residency and Stroke/Vascular fellowship.
• Must be Board Certified.
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating exceptional leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Stroke Program Team and participate in Neurology Service Line meetings.
• Serve as a liaison between administration and the stroke team, reporting to executive and health system leadership.
• Identify opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care.
• Monitor quality data and lead process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality standards.
• Collaborate with service-line leadership to expand and implement best practices in stroke care.
• Oversee physician recruitment, mentorship, and supervision.
• Drive program development, strategic planning, and process improvement initiatives.
• Manage clinical, quality, operational, and financial performance.
