Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Stroke Medical Director in Westchester, NY to lead a high‑performing stroke program. This full‑time leadership role reports to Neurology leadership and guides clinical, operational, and academic directions across the Westchester market.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Neurology with stroke/vascular or neurointerventional fellowship training and at least 5 years of leadership experience, licensed or eligible in New York.

Qualifications

• MD degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of Neurology residency and Stroke/Vascular or Neurointerventional fellowship
• Board certification in neurology and NY licensure or eligibility

Responsibilities

• Lead the Stroke Program Team and participate in Neurology Service Line meetings
• Liaise between administration and stroke team; report to leadership
• Identify opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction and quality of care
• Monitor quality data and lead process improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with service-line leadership to expand best practices in stroke care
• Oversee physician recruitment, mentorship and supervision
• Drive program development, strategic planning and process improvement initiatives
• Manage clinical, quality, operational, and financial performance
• Collaborate with Neurointerventionalists on clinical call responsibilities
