Job summary

Flame Spray in Greenville, SC is seeking a Strip Line Operator to join our Production team. You will operate the chemical stripping line, perform grit or water jet blasting, run furnaces, and blend parts as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Proper handling of parts.
• Understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements related to the position.
• Proficiency in using hand tools.
• Adherence to proper safety guidelines and use of required PPE.
• Ability to sit or stand at a workstation or machine for extended periods.
• Physical presence at the designated workstation during normal business hours.
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Perform other assignments as required by the supervisor or management.

Responsibilities

• Follow verbal and written instructions from the Supervisor and adhere to internal policies, procedures, and standards of behavior.
• Operate the chemical stripping line.
• Perform grit blasting and/or water jet blasting.
• Operate furnaces.
• Blend parts as needed.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ensure the production schedule is met.
• Submit purchase requests to the supervisor for necessary items.
• Possess a basic understanding of process controls and the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Assist teammates as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Utilize basic computer skills.
