Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced strings and piano instructor to teach violin, viola, cello, and beginner piano at Grace Music School in Fort Salonga, Northport, NY. Instruction is in person, with part-time or full-time opportunities and flexible hours within our open schedule.

Candidates should hold a degree in music performance or pedagogy or have equivalent performing experience, love teaching, and be reliable with transportation and background checks.

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional strings and piano instructor to teach violin, viola, cello, and beginner piano part-time or full-time at Grace Music School, in Fort Salonga, Northport, NY. We are looking for teachers who will instruct IN PERSON! This is a short-term leave position from November to March with the opportunity to stay on after.

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $30-36/hour.

Pay: $30-36 per hour
