Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act. The role emphasizes therapeutic communication, patient safety, and interdisciplinary planning to meet individual patient needs.

The position involves taking on charge nurse responsibilities as needed, coordinating staff assignments, and serving as a clinical resource to the team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) are required.
• RN – Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/CCU).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per RN scope and Act as a clinical resource for staff.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Plan individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and hospital initiatives.
• When acting as charge nurse, assign staff and coordinate day-to-day patient care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Plans individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement. When acting in charge nurse role, registered nurses are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment. Make staff assignments based on patient need and the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

Cardiovascular Services (Non-Invasive Stress lab) proficient in 12 lead EKG interpretation, Bruce Bruce Protocol, Holter monitors, stress echo, treadmill stress, and chemical nuclear stress testing.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years.
