Job Details

Oversee the day-to-day functions of the stress lab and heart station. Provide guidance to department staff and communicate effectively with Hospital Administration. Monitor nuclear and non-nuclear exercise and pharmacologic stress tests.

Job Description

Assist in developing patient education materials related to stress testing procedures. Participate in patient education for scheduled stress tests. Call patients prior to tests to explain procedures and answer questions. Offer health information during and after testing. Serve as a consultant to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals regarding stress testing indications and procedures. Assist in educating other department staff members. Interact professionally with co-workers, visitors, and staff, aligning with the hospital's core values.

Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; diploma, BSN, or Master's degree preferred.

Licensing Requirements

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • IV Certification

Licenses required in Pennsylvania.

Experience Requirements

Experience in a cardiovascular laboratory or two years of hospital nursing care. Critical Care experience preferred. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
