Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a mid-level Stress Analysis Engineer to develop and certify new aircraft and related product designs. You will analyze primary and secondary structures, correlate with test articles, and generate comprehensive analysis reports and test documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-year degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of structural analysis experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of physics and materials mechanics.
  • Experience applying statics and mechanics of materials for structural design.
  • Proficiency with finite element analysis software.
  • Basic understanding of laminate plate theory and composites fabrication.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills; clear written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Generate structural analysis of aircraft primary and secondary structures using hand methods and FEA.
  • Prepare stress analysis documentation including reports and test plans.
  • Support project assignments and ensure design outcomes meet requirements.

Overview

Mid-level Structures

Stress Analysis Engineer for developing and certifying new aircraft and related product designs at Cirrus Aircraft.

Responsibilities
  • Generates structural analysis of aircraft primary and secondary structures that includes detail part sizing, and strength assessment of primary and secondary structure and systems installations, as well as correlation to test articles using classical hand analysis methods and FEA.
  • Responsible for stress analysis and test documentation generation. Includes analysis reports, test plans and test reports.
  • Completes project assignments and responsible for design outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4-year Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in structural analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of physics
  • Solid knowledge and can demonstrate application of Statics and Mechanics of Materials for structural design.
  • Experience using Finite Element Analysis software
  • Basic understanding of laminate plate theory
  • Basic knowledge of composite structure and fabrication methods
  • Solid understanding of methods for problem solving and analysis
  • Ability to demonstrate solid communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to demonstrate ability to read, write and speak the English language.

Pay Range

Salary Range: USD $80,405.70/Yr. - USD $120,608.55/Yr.
