JOB SUMMARY: Clemson University is looking for a Strength Operations Assistant to fulfill the following duties:

  • 50% Strength Conditioning Assistance: Assists with the daily set up and break down of the needed equipment for strength and conditioning sessions Contributes to a positive environment conducive to learning and safety while advancing program goals eliminating risks and ensuring compliance with NCAA rules
  • 25% Performance Training: Assists the director and assistant strength coaches with performance training workouts
  • 25% Facility Operations: Assists to ensure facility is properly maintained and addresses maintenance issues that arise Assists with daily cleaning sanitizing and equipment placement

RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE

Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fiscal Responsibilities: Fiscal responsibilities for the department's budget, including but not limited to, financial planning and managing fund allocation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Walk or move about: 5%
  • Stand for Prolonged Period: 100%
  • Position self to accomplish task (i.e. stoop, kneel, crawl): 5%
  • Recognize or inspect visually: 5%
  • Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc.: 5%
  • Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself: 5%
  • Move, transport, raise or lower 30lbs or less: 55%
  • Move, transport, raise or lower 50 lbs or more: 55%

Standard Hours: 28

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range

$24,000.00 - $30,000.00

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Essential Support - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is necessary to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
