Job summary

Angelo State University is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant to program and coach strength and conditioning for student-athletes. The role includes assisting in training techniques, injury recovery, and performance evaluations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree, CPR/AED certification, and enrollment in a graduate program. The annual stipend is $10,000 and includes a full tuition waiver towards a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• CPR / AED Certification required.

Job Title: Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant

Responsibilities

• Program and coach strength & conditioning for assigned teams.
• Assist student-athletes in proper training techniques, speed development, plyometrics, injury return-to-play and modifications, and recovery methods.
• Assist in physical performance testing and evaluation.
• Work effectively with department support services personnel to enhance student-athlete development.
• Support daily operations and policies of the strength & conditioning department.

Required Qualifications

• Regular admission into an ASU graduate degree or certification program is required.
• All graduate students who are awarded assistantships must be enrolled in graduate coursework during the terms of their appointments.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• CPR / AED Certification
• Pursuing or holding CSCS and/or SCCC
• Relative field experience

Salary and Benefits

Annual stipend: $10,000 and full tuition waiver toward a Master’s degree (6 hours per semester).
