Hurricane City in Hurricane, UT is seeking a Street Operator I to perform entry-level skilled duties related to construction, installation, maintenance and repair of city streets, street signing and warning devices. Operates specialized heavy equipment and performs cement work on flat surfaces, curbs and gutter; grouts surfaces and joints.
The role reports to the Street Superintendent and requires a valid Utah driver’s license and pre-employment drug screening.

Full-time - Salary Range
$39,135.20 - $57,779.20 depending on experience.

Position Summary

Operates specialized heavy equipment and performs cement work on flat surfaces, curbs and gutter; grouts surfaces and joints.

Works under the general supervision of the Street Superintendent

Minimum Qualifications
1. Qualifications, Education and Experience
a. High school diploma or equivalent AND
b. One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in a field directly related to above duties.
c. Possess and maintain a valid Utah Driver's License throughout employment.
d. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
2. Special Qualifications
a. Possession of or the ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with the required endorsements within 90 days of hire date.
b. Possession of or the ability to obtain a Utah Department of Transportation certification in construction signing and flagging within 120 days of hire date.
c. All accredited certification must be kept current. Failure to do so may result in loss of position.
