Job summary

The City of McKinney is hiring Streets Maintenance Technician I–IV to perform street, drainage, and related maintenance tasks in a fast-growing city. Positions involve preparing work areas, operating basic equipment, and following safety procedures under supervision.

A Texas CDL is required or must be obtained within 12 months. Experience with hand tools and willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess a valid Texas Class A CDL or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of streets, gutter drainage and alley repair and construction.
• Assists in preparing work areas and securing job sites.
• Operates basic to moderately complex equipment.
• Maintains records and helps with emergency response as needed.
• Complies with City policies and follows assigned schedule.
