Job summary

The City of St. George is seeking Equipment Operator I–III to drive and operate a range of construction and maintenance equipment in support of streets programs. This role requires basic maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of one year full-time experience operating and maintaining various equipment.
• Licenses: Valid Utah Class A CDL with tanker endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Place signs, barricades, and traffic control devices at work sites.
• Operate equipment such as sweeper, loader, backhoe, roller, vacuum truck, or 10-wheel dump truck.
• Maintain daily records and reports estimating equipment time and material usage.
• Perform routine maintenance or emergency repairs as assigned.
• Work in inclement weather.
