Job summary

Frontwave Arena is seeking an energetic Street Team member to promote the team and engage fans at Clippers and Sockers events. You will hand out promotional materials, assist with mascots, promote sponsored promotions, and help with crowd energizing.

You must be 18+, have reliable transport, and be available for most games and events. If you enjoy dance or performance, you may be used in skits and dances during the game.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Available for majority of games and events.
• Knowledge of basketball and soccer encouraged but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Outgoing, motivated, enthusiastic, and confident.
• Comfortable working in front of large crowds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work in diverse weather.
• Access to internet.
• Prior customer service or marketing experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be proactive and organized.
• Ability to work on a team and brainstorm creative ideas.
• Flexible schedule and weekend/evening work.

Job description

This exclusive team will aim to promote the Frontwave Arena, San Diego Clippers and San Diego Sockers brand throughout the community and engage with fans of all kinds.

The ideal candidate will be an outgoing person with a fun and energetic personality. Must be 18 or older, able to attend 85% of Clippers & Sockers home games and other events held at the arena, work nights and weekends and have reliable transportation. We seek people with some marketing experience and/or capable of engaging guests. You will be responsible for handing out promotional material, assisting with mascot functions, selling and helping out with sponsored promotions, pumping up the crowd and having FUN! Frontwave Arena wants positive minded persons. You will be the fresh face of our promo team that will be responsible for interacting with fans and making sure they have a pleasant experience. If you have dance background, that’s a plus! You may be incorporated into skits and dances during the game.

Compensation

$20/hour

Pay will be bi-weekly based on hours worked at games and appearances attended. You may earn course credit, but must be pre-approved by University and Frontwave Arena staff.
