Job summary

Meruelo Media in Los Angeles seeks an energetic Street Team member to promote Power 106, 95.5 KLOS, 93.5 KDAY and Cali 93.9 at local events across Southern California. You will be the face of our brands, interacting with fans, handing out swag, and representing sponsors professionally.

This role requires weekend and evening availability, ability to drive and set up PA systems, and strong written event recap skills. Join us to help shape the city’s music scene.

Responsibilities

• Set up/breakdown tent, stage, and PA equipment; operate sound systems as trained.
• Take photos and write detailed event recaps for internal use.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Professionally represent the radio stations and our clients working promotional events throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area that include but are not limited to schools, malls, auto dealerships, retailers, concerts, movie-screenings, supermarkets, community events, etc.
• Must be professional, energetic and able to communicate effectively. The selected candidates must adhere to company dress code.
• Coordinate and communicate with sponsors and/or venue organizations regarding upcoming concerts or station promotional events.
• Setup/breakdown tent and stage, operate sound system and maintain equipment, and organize remotes on location (you will be trained to do this).
• Hand out prizes and promotional materials.
• Interact with event attendees and the public at promotional events.
• Host event and play games on microphone in front of a crowd.
• Write detailed recaps of all station events.
• Take photos of events for recaps.
• Drive station vehicles to/from promotional activities and keeps neat and tidy.
• Assist with preparation for events, stocking supplies and packing equipment.
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all departments.

Qualifications

• Out-going, fun & energetic personality.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college enrollment/classwork preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact and speak publicly on the microphone in front of a crowd.
• Must be able to drive large vehicles such as vans, trucks and SUV’s.
• Familiar with setting up industry standard PA systems and plug ins.
• Highly organized, computer proficient, and able to use standard office equipment (i.e., computer, copier/scanner).
• Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude and appearance.
• Ability to work well unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work primarily weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Must be dependable, timely, accurate and able to multitask.
• Must be proficient with the following computer software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record are required.
