The City of Odessa seeks a Street Sweeper Operator to operate and maintain street sweeping vehicles, ensuring safety compliance while cleaning residential and commercial roadways. Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED and a Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License.

Department: Street Reports to: Sweeper Supervisor
Under basic supervision, operates and maintains the street sweeper vehicle to maintain streets, roadways, and City infrastructure for the Public Works Department (PWD).

Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED preferred, AND one year of construction or maintenance experience.
A Texas State Class B Commercial Driver's License is required; special vehicle training and licensing may be required.
Work is performed indoors, outdoors, and at City facilities; requires constant physical efforts, and the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects; may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment. City approved safety shoes must be worn.
