Job summary

Sasha Bruce Youthwork seeks a motivated professional to lead its Street Outreach Team in Washington, DC and Prince George's County, focusing on disconnected homeless youth. You will oversee outreach plans, staff training, and data-driven strategy updates to improve engagement and access to services.

The role requires a bachelor’s in social work, 2+ years’ experience with urban low-income families, and knowledge of harm reduction. Nights/weekends & travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field.
• Two years of experience working with low-income families, urban setting preferred.
• Two+ years experience developing, carrying out, and evaluating trainings for street outreach.
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of harm reduction strategies and positive youth development.
• Experience linking families to community resources for homelessness, DV, unemployment, literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GSuite.
• Familiarity with HMIS and client record management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements street outreach plans in Washington, DC and Prince George's County.
• Creates maps and guides of outreach hotspots.
• Prepares outreach strategies targeting underserved communities.
• Gathers data and updates strategies based on trends.
• Trains SOP volunteers and new staff in engagement methods.
• Provides initial assessments, survival aid, and escorts youth to safe facilities.
• Tracks client progress and maintains confidential records in HMIS.
• Drafts and submits program reports as required.
• Represents Sasha Bruce on city-wide committees related to Street Outreach.
