Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor is hiring a Public Works Technician to safely operate light to heavy equipment for maintenance of streets. This position is represented by the AFSCME union.

Starting hourly rate is $23.50, with pay increases dependent on length of service, advancement in the position, and other contractual factors. The City offers a competitive wage and benefits package including medical, vision, dental, paid vacation, sick and holiday leave, with additional city programs and retirement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• CDL Endorsement B with Air Brake endorsement; CDL A endorsement within 6 months of hire
• Previous experience in road maintenance, underground utility construction or landscape construction
