Job summary

Terry's Electric in Orlando is seeking a Street Lighting Lead to install, replace and repair street lighting, install underground wiring and new poles, and terminations on live circuits with protective gear. You will lead projects with electricians, trainees or helpers.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of street lighting experience, a valid CDL Class A license with clean record, ability to work from a bucket truck and in heat, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a street lighting electrician or similar field.
• Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to work at heights and from a bucket truck.
• Ability to operate a Digger Derrick to set, remove and straighten utility poles.
• Able to work in heat and direct sunlight and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace and repair street lighting, install underground wiring and boxes, and install new street lighting poles.
• Terminate wiring connections on live circuits using required protective gear.
• Lead projects with the assistance of an electrician, trainee or helper.
• Troubleshoot power and control circuits.
• Set poles and hand signals per plans and requirements.
• Interpret plans to create material requisitions and determine required resources to complete the job.

Terry's Electric provides construction and maintenance services to Utility Companies throughout Florida. Our Street Lighting Division supports new installations, maintenance, repair and retrofit of lighting and control systems provided by the Utility.

We are currently seeking a Street Lighting Ele for work in Orlando and adjacent suburbs.

General Job Description

As a Street Lighting Lead, your responsibilities will include installing, replacing and repairing street lighting, install underground wiring and boxes, as well as installation of new street lighting poles. You will also be terminating wiring connections on live circuits using required protective gear. You will be a lead on projects with the assistance of an electrician, trainee or helper.

Job Knowledge

• Have advanced knowledge of the tasks required to perform on all phases of electrical work in accordance with the power company standards and National Electrical Codes

Job Requirements

• similar field
• Possess a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record
• Have no issues with heights or working from a bucket truck

• Requires ability to work for extended periods of time in the heat and direct sunlight
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
