Job summary

The Street Light Technician at Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. will troubleshoot and maintain street lighting, working on busy roads and highways. Responsibilities include changing heads, replacing wiring, and operating bucket trucks and trenching equipment.

Applicants should be willing to travel as needed, climb poles, and learn pouring concrete and installing products in ditches per customer specs. A valid Class A CDL and medical card are required, with background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in street lighting systems and electrical utilities.
• Willing to travel when necessary.
• Valid Class A CDL and medical card required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot street lights and perform maintenance on busy roads.
• Change streetlight heads from buckets or poles; replace overhead wiring.
• Operate equipment including digger, bucket trucks, mini excavators and trenching gear.
• Learn to pour concrete and install products in ditches per consumer specifications.
