Job summary

Fox Television Stations’ FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus seeks a Streaming Line Producer to lead live coverage across linear and digital platforms. You will shape rundowns, make real-time editorial decisions, and drive the future of local streaming news.

The role requires strong news judgment, crisp writing, control-room leadership, and a digital-first mindset to deliver immediate, engaging coverage for viewers wherever they watch.

Qualifications

• Two to four years as a news producer, line producer, or similar role in a medium-to-large broadcast newsroom.
• Live streaming or digital-first news production experience strongly preferred.
• Strong news judgment and AP-style writing; ability to lead during fast moving live-news situations.
• Experience with multiplatform storytelling and audience engagement across social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead live coverage and editorial execution for linear and streaming platforms; adjust rundowns as news develops.
• Create streaming-first, multiplatform content including explainers, interviews, and digital packages.
• Grow reach by optimizing video and live content across YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Collaborate with anchors, reporters, editors, and production staff to ensure cohesive journalism across platforms.
• Use newsroom technology (iNews, streaming tools, analytics) and adapt to evolving systems.
