Job summary

WTVT FOX 13 Tampa is seeking a digitally native journalist to produce and host live streaming content, with a primary focus on evening and breaking news for our growing streaming platform.

This role requires ability to operate live production tools, engage audiences in real time, and make editorial decisions on the fly while upholding FOX Television Stations' standards across platforms.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in digital news, streaming, or live content creation.
• Strong on-camera presence and unscripted communication.
• Experience producing digital video, live streams or social-first news.
• Fast editorial decisions under deadline pressure; strong news judgment.
• Proficiency with live streaming workflows and related software.

Responsibilities

• Produce and host live streaming programming focused on evening/breaking news.
• Own end-to-end production of live streams and VOD content, including planning and on-air presentation.
• Operate streaming tools for switching, encoding, clipping, publishing, and troubleshooting.
• Engage viewers via live chat to create a community-driven experience.
• Make real-time editorial decisions as coverage evolves; coordinate with teams.
• Pitch stories, cultivate sources, and shape streaming coverage with leadership.
• Conduct interviews with newsmakers and community leaders during live programs.
• Maintain journalistic standards and comply with guidelines.
• Occasionally contribute to linear broadcasts when needed.
