Job summary

TEGNA Inc. is seeking an experienced television anchor to develop newscasts for OTT/CTV streaming platforms.

The role combines traditional anchor duties with streaming-focused storytelling and a strong technical skill set to deliver breaking and developing news to viewers on connected TVs and apps. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of reporting and anchoring, excellent on-camera delivery, and leadership experience across multiple content projects.

Qualifications

Minimum 6 years of reporting and anchoring experience.
Confident but approachable on-camera delivery with strong ad-lib abilities.
Strong leadership qualities and experience guiding teams on multiple projects.
Sound news judgment with a track record of enterprise content.
Experience using vMix, Cuez and desktop video editing software (Edius/Adobe Premiere) preferred.
Ability to work 100% in-person in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

Anchor multiple hours of livestreamed newscasts daily.
Book experts to respond to breaking and developing news stories.
Generate unique and compelling stories and streaming show ideas.
Take a leadership role in content and production.
Collaborate with producers, reporters, photojournalists, managers and other team members.
Edit video for VOD, re-pack content for streaming platforms.
